SHORT SIDED GUIDELINES FOR 6U

- Team Arrive and setup goals/field
- 8:15A - Practice/warm up
- 8:40A - Game begins ( two 15 min halves)
- 9:20A - Game ends. Take down goals.

GAME FORMAT: Maximum number of players on the field at any time: four (4) 
SUBSTITUTION: Halfway through each period and at halftime
PLAYING TIME: Minimum of 50% of the total playing time for each player and 75% when possible. No one should play four periods until everyone has played three
GOALKEEPER: NO GOALKEEPER IN 6U
THROW IN: For 6U, the throw-in is replaced with the pass-in. Opposing players must be at least two yards from the ball until it is kicked.
REFEREE: There are no referees in 6U

SHORT SIDED GUIDELINES FOR 8U

GAME FORMAT: Game is 4 vs. 4 with NO goalkeepers.
PLAYING TIME: Minimum of 50% of the total playing time for each player and 75% when possible. No one should play four periods until everyone has played three
GAME DURATOIN: 2 twenty-minute halves with substitutions allowed 10 minutes into each half. The half-time break is 5 minutes.
HEADING: Deliberate heading of the ball is not allowed for all players in this division in both practices and games.
SUBSTITUTION: Halfway through each period and at halftime
GOALKEEPER: NO Goalkeeper in 8U. Defender must be a least 5 feet away from the from the goal
Goal kicks are taken within 10 feet away from the goal.
THROW-IN: Restarts after the ball crosses the touchline is a throw-in. The opposing players need to be at least 2 yards from the touchline before it is thrown. 
FOULS: All fouls are restarted with a direct free kick. There no penalty kicks.
