Current Laws Of The Game Changes
RULE CHANGES FOR 6U & 8U
All restarts at the 6U and 8U levels are IFKs. This was previously AYSO policy and is in line with US Soccer’s PDIs
Opponents must retreat 5 yards on all restarts at 6U and 8U levels. This is different from US Soccer (they recommend 10 feet), but takes player safety into further consideration and is consistent with the distance for restarts in accordance with the radius of the center circle (also 5 yards)

Goalies may release the ball beyond the BOL.
GKs may be played beyond the BOL.
Opponents may not cross the BOL until the goalie has released the ball. An offense of this rule results in an IFK for the goalie's team at the point where the opponent crossed the BOL.
Opponents may not cross the BOL until the GK has left the PA into the field of play. An offense of this rule results in a GK takeover. (Yes. This is not exactly what was stated in the last paragraph of the PDI document linked above, but is correctly explained this way in the BOL video.)
Still no punting or drop kicks by the goalie. (Yes. A goalie may drop the ball to a teammate who may circumvent the PDI rule and kick the ball as it bounces, perhaps at the instruction of their win-at-all-costs coach.)
