We are annoucing that the 3 year term of our current Regional Commissioner will conclude in July of 2025. 

According to the AYSO Reference Book - Standard Regional Policies & Protocols (12/2020), Article Six, Management of the Region, Section E: Regional Commissioner Initial Appointment/Reappointment/Replacement, “the nominating committee shall submit its list of one or more names of individuals who they have determined to be qualified as candidates for the position of RC to the Regional Board.”

An eligible individual is an adult who has registered as a volunteer Region 1031. A job description prepared by AYSO's National Training and Support Center may be downloaded HERE. This is a generic description and in Region 1031, the Regional Commissioner may have additional responsibilities. Time commitment will vary depending on length of playing season(s). For AYSO Region 1031, the Regional Commissioner will devote at least 5 hours per day, per playing season. 

The Nominating Committee consists of: Reginald Sample, Kevin Brantley, Prince Nortey. The nominating committee may request additional support from other volunteers in the region.

It is anticipated that candidates will have the opportunity to address the Board of Directors at the April 2025 Regional Board meeting. The election itself will be held thereafter.

Only active members of the Regional Board may vote. The meetings will be open to the public but it is requested that anyone desiring to attend the meeting notify the Nominating Committee ahead of time.

It should be emphasized that once a person is elected by the Regional Board, the Region must submit a completed Appointment Request Package and the person elected must be approved by the Area Director for Area P, Kenneth Kotarski, and the Section Director for Section 1, Jane Prado, before being submitted to the National Board.
