Coach Training Schedule

How to sign up for the training?

All coaches have to become a AYSO volunteer. This is done through Sports Connect, once this is complete and you are an approved volunteer you can now take the classes need to become a coach.

 

1) Complete a volunteer application. Go to the Instructions for Soccer Coaches page for further details.

2) Once you complete your volunteer application, you will receive an email to complete your background check from Sterling Volunteers

2) Complete the online trainings and register for in-person portion of the course

a) You will complete the following certifications: CDC Concussion, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, Safe Haven, SafeSport

b) You will also complete the online portion of the coach training. 

3) Finally attend the in-person training

What do I need to do prior to training?

All volunteers should signup via AYSOU training portal, walk ups will be turned away. Details of specific course are listed below. All coaching candidates must complete the following online training prior to attending the in-person course:

A quiz will be given during the live session. We want to give our players the best opportunity to grow as a player, so please take the time to complete these items prior to the start of the class. 

What to bring to your coaching class?

Pen, paper, chair, water, and ball. Wear comfortable clothes, cleats are not required; you will be doing activities on the field.
